Legacy is an inevitability in any business – systems that were once cutting edge naturally age, but still require careful maintenance. And although it’s important work, it can feel less rewarding than working on shiny new features.

But working with legacy has its own joys. Legacy systems have unique challenges which, although complex, can help developers to improve on their technical skills and also facilitate problem solving when new challenges arise.

In this session, we’ll explore how working with legacy code can improve your skills as a developer, the different mindsets that you’ll need to tackle legacy, and how you and your teams can become excited about working with legacy code.
