Swati Vauthrin is a Senior Engineering Leader at Instagram where she supports Product Engineering for Reels, IG’s short form video format. She also serves as a mentor for rising stars across the company ensuring they have the support to grow in their careers and a clear path forward. Mentorship and advocacy is a passion of hers and she continues to support underrepresented individuals as they navigate their careers in Tech.

Formerly she was VP of Engineering at BuzzFeed and before that spent close to 10yrs at the Walt Disney Company first as a Software Engineer and then eventually transitioning into Engineering Leadership.  Swati’s other full-time job is being a mother to her two children.
