As an engineering leader wanting to create high performing teams, understanding your current developer experience you are providing your team is a vital part of your role – but also something that is notoriously difficult to do. So how can you begin to measure and assess developer experience?

In this talk, we’ll be exploring micro-feedback loops, taking a look at low level friction, how it can quickly compound to affect motivation and productivity. We will be covering the lagging and leading metrics you can measure, and how to increase transparency of these to higher management.

We will be assessing what your team can control and how to do so, and then briefly explore problems you can’t always control, that comes with interacting with other functions and dependent teams.
