Benji Shine is a software developer turned learning specialist. In his 20 years in software development, he often built educational technology, but rarely was a teacher himself. Upon developing wrist injuries from too much programming, he shifted his target from software development to human development. His goal is to build a kinder, gentler, more just generation of software engineers.
He currently runs engineer onboarding at Slack, where he’s onboarded hundreds of engineers. (Benji’s secret power is stealth diversity: he looks like a cis/het non-disabled man, but he’s actually a disabled queer trans man)
