Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Taofeek is a veteran technology leader and brings more than 20 years of experience building high performance teams and award winning products across multiple industries. Currently, he’s the Engineering Director for Etsy’s Mobile Engineering group, driving both platform and product development.
Previously, he ran Etsy’s Core Seller Services group responsible for Etsy’s Payments, Shipping and Listing teams and was Chief Technology Officer for Maker’s Row, a marketplace startup.
Taofeek credits a Tandy TRS-80 pocket computer received in his teens for sparking his interest in technology. When not coding or coaching engineers, he can be found playing ping-pong, volunteering or pulling off Lego “master builds” with his sons.
