As a tech leader, Werner Koepf has hired more than 200 software engineers – and interviewed thousands more – during his time at Amazon, Expedia, Ticketmaster, and Conversica. Now as Karat’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, he leads the company’s engineering, data science, program management, and security teams with creativity, passion, and drive.

Werner is inspired to change tech’s hiring landscape to unlock more opportunities for underrepresented software engineers around the world. He furthers that endeavor by leading teams with expertise in system and software architecture, as well as object-oriented design, information architecture, data modeling, artificial intelligence, data science, and machine learning.
