Tim is a computer scientist, serial entrepreneur, and angel investor. He has co-founded companies in enterprise and consumer software, consumer goods, and children's education. Along the way, he has grown and run engineering teams for large companies, including Facebook, Yahoo!, HP, and AOL.

While earning his PhD in computer science from the University of Michigan, Tim co-invented LDAP, the internet directory protocol. He has co-authored two books, numerous internet RFCs, and holds several patents. These days, he spends his time investing, helping run Know Yourself, the children's education company he co-founded with his wife, and hanging out with his two daughters and five dogs.
