Suresh Vellanki

Suresh Vellanki is Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Sabre and leads product development for Commercial Products, Fulfillment and Data & Analytics solutions. In this role, he led Sabre’s Cloud Migration and Mainframe Offload technology transformation initiatives, as well as moving Sabre’s Data & Analytics platform to Google Cloud. He also exerts engineering and operational rigor into the company’s key Personalization initiatives, including Intelligent Retailing and New Distribution Capability (NDC).

 With more than 25 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, Suresh’s background spans product development in hand-held device applications, B2B eCommerce, and Travel and Hospitality industries in a global setting. Before joining Sabre, Suresh briefly worked as an IT consultant and in a technology start-up company. 

 Suresh’s journey in Sabre progressed from an engineering to a leadership role while traversing revenue management, the Travelocity Hotels platforms and Sabre Core systems development. These core systems are high volume, low latency, highly scalable, reliable and form the backbone of Sabre’s business.

 Vellanki holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, as well as a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India.
