Marcus Frodin is the VP Engineering for Music at Spotify where he oversees Spotify’s technology roadmap for music and artists, leading a cross functional group that spend their days obsessing over how to grow the music industry and help artists advance their craft and careers. Marcus has spent the past decade growing with Spotify from an engineering manager to a director to a VP, and through the years he’s had the privilege of working with and helping grow amazing tech talent – from staff ML engineers to director of design and engineering and all in between. As a lockdown coping mechanism, Marcus set up a YouTube channel to share his learnings on topics from running great 1:1s to managing managers. Marcus is based in Brooklyn, New York.
