Lawrence spent his early career at GoCardless as both SRE and product engineer, helping the company grow from start-up to unicorn. Having spent years working as a Principal SRE building an internal PaaS and helping GoCardless scale their services, Lawrence joined incident.io as employee #1 to build the incident response product he’d wished for over the hundreds of incidents he’d been involved in. Now his focus is on establishing the foundations for a world-class engineering team, and recently building the incident.io Status Pages and Catalog products.
Starting from nothing
In this talk, Lawrence shares lessons learned from experiences bootstrapping teams.
