Laura Czajkowski is an all around open source advocate since the early 2000s, involved in various activities, from leading and organising conferences to software testing and documentation. During the day-time, Laura oversees the development of the Server SDK & Cloud team as a Developer Relations Manager at Vonage. In her spare time, she is a regular conference speaker who is passionate about getting people – everyone from primary school students to technology professionals – involved in Open Source communities both on IRC and in face-to-face discussions.
Dealing with culture divides on distributed teams
Having timezone issues, international flights, planning logistics, communication and dealing with different cultural norms, working with teams distributed across the world provides challenges to overcome and a great way to learn how to work in a different manner at times.
