Cheng constructed software at more than a dozen of companies for the first 25 years of his career before discovering the software safety movement 5 years ago and becoming an Incident Analyst on a team dedicated to Learning From Incidents and Incident Management. He is currently an unpaid safety nerd who still participates in resilienceinsoftware.org chats and hosts monthly reliability discussions at r9y.dev/discuss for fun. Cheng lives in Western North Carolina with his wife and cat, and enjoys road cycling in his spare time.
