Amy Truong is a seasoned executive engineering leader, with previous experience at Patreon and TaskRabbit where she built and led global engineering organizations at these companies as their Vice President of Engineering. Amy is a well-rounded leader with over 20 years of engineering leadership experience that spans across numerous domains that include space tech, social media, open source, enterprise software, and consumer product development at companies and organizations such as Twitter, Planet Labs, and OpenStack.

Amy is passionate about leading teams through change and sharing her learnings with others in the tech community. She has given talks at various events, including SXSW, Grace Hopper Celebration, and Lesbians Who Tech. Amy also has a special interest in building a supportive community for Women in Tech and has given various keynote talks for WIT affinity groups at universities and companies. She has also been listed in Girl Geek’s 60 Engineering Leaders to Watch in 2020 and Chief in Tech’s 100 Women in Tech Leaders to Watch in 2022.

Amy holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin. She now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and their two children (ages 7 and 3), and together they enjoy adventures in food and travel.
