Alex is a software engineer in love with the world outside of (impacted by, apart from, in spite of) tech. At Newsela, she writes CMS software that helps educators bring real-world content into the classroom with scaffolding, instructional supports, and differentiated reading levels. When she's not thinking about expressive programming patterns, Alex thinks about narrative bias, mutual aid, poetic forms, and queerness as liberation.
