It’s a key question for engineering leaders of all stripes: How do we truly know the value of feature development? Are people using it, and are they using it in the way we expected? Is it having unexpected impacts to performance?

To improve how we work, we need to look at the results of the past. By building observability into your software and your process –  rather than bolting it on through the SRE team – engineering teams can start to demonstrate the value they’re delivering and optimize accordingly.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Instrument distributed traces, look at them, and understand them
  • Break down team silos
  • Build feedback loops

What to expect from this session

Virtual workshops are 80-minute sessions, led by expert tutors with decades of experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams. You’ll have the opportunity to tap into the expert’s knowledge and resources to benchmark your own performance, and gain advice on how to close the gaps.
