Melody Olson spent 17+ years at Google in Ads and Maps, most recently as a Senior Engineering Director leading 220+ person teams. She led teams through multiple product cycles, organizational redesigns, and technology transitions, including AI-first solutions for geospatial understanding and foundational data systems serving Google Maps’ 2B+ users. Melody is writing Activate, a book on how leaders build teams that move fast and build what matters, drawing on interviews with senior leaders at Google, Netflix, NVIDIA, Datadog, Anthropic, Apple and beyond.
