Maryia Tarpachova

Maryia Tarpachova is a Senior Software Engineer at Octopus Electroverse. She taught herself to code during the pandemic, fitting 4am study sessions around an energetic toddler and her job at a human rights foundation.

Before moving into software engineering, she worked across a range of sectors including non-profit and healthcare, where she began to notice the same organisational patterns resurfacing in very different environments. Discovering systems thinking gave her a way to make sense of those recurring dynamics. She is now exploring how understanding the underlying structure of a system, rather than just its visible problems, can help teams build resilience into how they scale and deliver software.
