Behn Williams

Behn Williams is Field CTO at Chainguard, where he works with engineering and security leaders worldwide to secure the open source software supply chain.

Previously he spent nearly two decades in financial services, most recently leading Developer Experience Product and Research at BNY — owning the developer tooling portfolio for 9,000+ engineers and driving AI-native SDLC modernization in a heavily regulated environment. He ran evals, negotiated deals, and deployed GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, Ona, DX, and Moderne; several of those early bets were later validated by acquisitions from OpenAI, Atlassian, and Cognition.
