At LeadDev we strive to deliver a high quality experience that's worth investing in your personal development. We take pride in delivering inclusive, friendly and welcoming events for our community of engineering leaders. It's more than just inspiring talks and case studies - we want you to enjoy the conference with peace of mind.
Here's what you can expect from the LeadDev experience:
Our friendly team will meet you on arrival and you’ll be given a delegate badge and swag bag. Everything you need to know can be found on your delegate badge - the full event schedule, WiFi details, social tags and much more can be accessed through a QR code. Less paper means we're doing what we can to save the planet.
We're happy to answer any questions you might have - just look for a team member in a pink shirt that says 'organiser'.
Although many government mandated restrictions have now been lifted, we want to make sure everyone feels comfortable socialising in an event setting. Stickers are available to add to your conference badge, letting others know your individual wishes on social distancing:
Red = Please keep your distance
Amber = No physical touch please (e.g. handshakes)
Green = I'm comfortable with talking and physical touch
Read our Covid safety policy for more information on our safety guidelines at the conference.
Inclusion is one of our core values and we think the world is better with diverse voices, equal access and representation. We provide live captioning for all talks, spaces for prayer and nursing, as well as gender neutral and accessible bathrooms. Pronoun stickers are also available to add to your conference badge, letting others know how you would like to be addressed.
Light breakfast refreshments and lunch is provided. There will also be tea, coffee and snacks available throughout the day. We can cater for special dietary requirements, so if you have any allergies or other requirements (e.g. kosher), just let us know.
The sponsor hall is the perfect place to network with your peers, but we also offer 'speaker office hours' - an opportunity for you to connect with our guest speakers after their talks. There will also be a designated quiet space for working or wind down from the busyness of the main event.
With an all-access pass you can attend a workshop led by one of our engineering leaders. Past events have included meetups, games lounge, coffee bar, massage lounge and much more courtesy of our sponsors.

Your safety and that of everyone at the event is of paramount importance and we want everyone to feel safe and secure. We are working closely with the venue to ensure that we follow official guidelines and best practices when it comes to COVID safety, but we don’t know what exact guidance (venue specific, local, or national) will be in place for large events in 2022. These guidelines are therefore subject to change.
You can find our full COVID policy here.
