Karan Mehra is a software engineer at Bloomberg, where he builds high performance real-time electronic trading systems. He also leads a grassroots allyship initiative at the company, that focuses on educating colleagues about the systemic and cultural obstacles faced by underrepresented groups in tech, while providing them actionable ways to practice allyship on a day-to-day basis. Karan has been involved in various diversity and inclusion efforts at Bloomberg since 2016, including leading STEM-based education and outreach programs for girls from underrepresented communities.
