Dennis has spent his career building products that remove friction for software engineers.
He started on the ground floor of Microsoft Azure, helping build the early cloud platform from scratch. At Amazon he became the first AWS employee in the Vancouver office, built the team, and worked on the Kindle Fire stack along with developer-focused tooling and infrastructure.
Dennis founded buddybuild to fix how mobile teams shipped software. The product became the go to CI platform for tens of thousands of developers worldwide – that traction led to the acquisition by Apple.
Dennis now runs Unblocked, where they focus on giving AI the context it needs to be useful in real software development. He focuses on practical impact and measure success by how much time and confusion we remove from engineering workflows.
