Maryam heads the R&D team at Datapeople, a software company focused on using data-driven insights to improve the fairness and efficiency of hiring processes.
Maryam has more than 10 years’ experience in experimental design and statistical analysis and has developed expertise in applied social and organizational psychology as well as data science, computational linguistics, and machine learning. Her research program integrates these different approaches to generate a holistic view of how language and behaviors affect decision-making at multiple stages of the hiring process.
An experimental biologist by training, Maryam holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a B.Sc. (Hons) and a B.A. from the University of Melbourne.
